Akasa have released a very large number of PSUs during the past few months, taking a piece of the pie from every market category. We have also received a large number of their PSUs to review, ranging from low-priced products aiming for the best possible value to efficient and silent mid-range PSUs to expensive enthusiast-oriented units featuring a monstrous output.

Enermax's new Triathlor FC 650W has a decent set of features and performs relatively well, but the price point seems a bit askew for what you get.

Last month we witnessed the introduction of the world’s fastest single GPU graphics card the GeForce GTX Titan by NVIDIA which is basically a cut down version of the K20 Tesla compute accelerator for supercomputers. Owning such a graphics card however is only the beginning since you also need to pair it with a very high quality power supply unit capable of feeding it with lots of clean and stable power. The 80Plus Platinum certification has been out for almost 2 years now and always accompanies the highest quality and performance power supply units the market has to offer, at least until 80Plus Titanium Certified units finally get released. The latest Antec High Current Pro Platinum 1000W PSU is amongst the best out there and although it's been around for quite a while we decided to check it out as we will many other 80Plus Platinum PSUs in the near future.

SteelSeries may not be the first manufacturer that comes to mind when thinking of gaming peripherals but they certainly do have an impressive product range including the Siberia V2 headset that we recently reviewed.

Enermax are one of the world’s most reputable switching PSU manufacturers and their products are considered to be some of the best that money can buy. They continuously release products that never cease to please even the most hardcore of PC users. Not long ago Enermax enriched their product line-up with several new products and series, one of them being the world class Revolution85+ unit which we reviewed a few months ago. Enermax haven’t forgotten about the mainstream market and they have released several mid range products as well.

PC Power & Cooling has always been known for their high quality power supplies, but there have been a small number of changes since OCZ acquired them in 2007. Now PCP&C seems to be getting back to basics with the new Silencer models. Gone is the large 135mm overhead fan and back is the 80mm rear mounted format they used in the pre-OCZ years. Of course there are no modular cables here, everything is hard wired as they have always done. And just like most of the Silencer MkII line, the Silencer 760 boasts an 80Plus Silver certification.

Thermaltake is a well known company and carries a good reputation as a high quality PSU manufacturer. Not too long ago we had a look at one of Thermaltake’s mainstream power supplies, the TR-2 800W unit. Today we are going to examine and review one of the company’s best products, the Toughpower Grand 1050W unit, a power supply aiming to satisfy the craving needs of hardcore enthusiasts. Let us have a closer look at it.

ADATA has always been a well known manufacturer of memory and storage products. In early 2010, the company announced that it was entering the power supply market with the introduction of the Horus series of power supplies. The HM series comes in five different flavors ranging from 500W all the way up to 1200W, providing something for just about everyone. Today we have their HM-1200 on the bench to see how their first entry into the power supply market performs.
