NZXT is releasing today a new power supply series, the HALE82 N, comprised of three models: 550 W, 650 W, and 750 W all with the 80 Plus Bronze certification. The main external difference between the "N" and the regular HALE82 series is that the "N" line-up doesn't have a modular cabling system. Internally, the original HALE82 uses a DC-DC design in its secondary, while the "N" version uses a regular design with Schottky rectifiers, which result in it costing less than the original HALE82.

The Seasonic X-Series brings the 80 Plus Gold certification and a full modular cabling system. It was the first power supply series where the DC-DC converter was installed on the same printed circuit board as the modular cabling system. We've already reviewed the 560 W, 650 W, and 850 W models, and they all got great results. Let's see if the X-Series 750 W is also a winner.

Today we will be performing our very first review of a retail Seasonic product and we are starting with the very best their engineering department has ever designed to this date; the Platinum 1000W unit.

Overall, the performance of the Capstone 750W is unexpectedly good, considering it is one of the first high performance power supplies that Rosewill released and the fact that the company is usually aiming for maximum value instead of top performance. Aside from the high electrical efficiency, which we could expect from a power supply bearing the 80Plus Gold certification, the 750W version of the Capstone also delivers excellent electrical performance, with tight voltage regulation and excellent ripple suppression...
