Intel's high-end LGA2011 platform has been out since November 2011 and since the platforms introduction there have only been two SNB-E processor choices available, the six-core Intel Core i7-3960X and Core i7-3930K. These hexa-core processors are costly as they run over $600 and that is more than most want to spend. All that changes this month with the introduction of the Intel Core i7-3820 that is priced at just $285. Read on to see how this processor performs!

Since the start of this year Intel's new generation processors have beenthe topic of discussion for many hardware enthusiasts. The new Ivy Bridge processors, or the third generation Core processors as Intel prefers to call them, are finally officially launched today. Hardware.Info extensively tested three of the new desktop processors: the Core i7 3770K, the Core i5 3570K and the Core i5 3550. We compared them to almost every current generation desktop processor.

heute wurden die Intel Core i7-3770K, Core i5-3570K, Core i5-3550, Core i7-3820QM und einige weitere 22nm Ivy Bridge Prozessoren vorgestellt und bereits umfangreich getestet.

Today we weren't able to bring our Intel Core i7 3770K 'Ivy Bridge' processor beyond 4.7GHz with complete stability. This is a little disappointing, but not the end of the world. We have to keep in mind that processor frequency isn't quite as important as it once was. Where the problem seems to reside, is in the temperatures...

Zoostorm supply many of their computers without an operating system installed which will prove valuable if you already own a license. Today we are going to look at a Zoostorm PC which is targeted at low-budget home users who want a capable multimedia system. This system incorporates an AMD A6-3500 triple core APU featuring integrated AMD Radeon HD 6530 graphics.

Every other review site today will be harping on, and rightfully so. about how AMD's Trinity Radeon cores crushes the competition's HD2500/4000 in gaming graphics performance at a budget Core i3-ish price point. We at VR-Zone reckon that the average Trinity A-series APU buyer probably still has some aspirations in life, and a desire to play games smoothly on their Full HD displays. So what happens when we throw in a mid-range discrete GPU like the US$240 HD7870 (Pitcairn) into the mix? Will we see crippling CPU bottlenecks?

Right on track, well after Ivy Bridge, AMD has released their second generation of Accelerated Processing Units in the form of the Trinity series A10-5800K and the A8-5600K. Last week, we brought you a preview of these two APUs just to give you a taste of their gaming performance and some of their specifications. Today, at Benchmark Reviews, we are going in detail for a full work-over of the A8-5600K APU.

If you plan on using a dedicated graphics card, the FX-8350, FX-8320 and FX-6300 aren't bad options. With Intel you get an integrated GPU that you pay for but don't use if you have a separate graphics card. In the AMD FX processors every single transistor is used by the CPU, which clearly has a positive effect with multi-threaded software. Don't get us wrong, Intel still makes the world's fastest processor and AMD can't even get close. But if you have a dedicated video card, then the new AMD FX processors give you a lot of bang for your buck.
