When Intel released the Pentium E6300, many people were wondering: didn't Intel release this CPU a long time ago? Intel entered the rebranding game ? What are the differences then and does the Pentium E6300 still deliver the power for today's application and games ?

I used to be quite a big fan of AMD, when the good old Athlon Mobile processors hit the market. They seemed to offer the best bang for buck in terms of performance and overclockability and they quickly became a hit.

Today AMD are launching the latest version of their X6 CPU in the form of the Phenom 2 X6 1100T Black Edition. This new CPU is the fastest 6-core AMD chip to be released and comes in at a price which is almost identical to Intels quad core i7-950. For that reason we will be putting the two head to head in order to find out which performs best in a selection of tests from gaming to media playback and encoding.

The Core i7-3820 will be released soon and already available to buy is the i7-3930K. We will be taking a look at both to determine where they sit in comparison to the older i7-990X, AMD FX-8150 and Intel i7-2700k in a selection of real world and synthetic tests.

At KitGuru we spend a lot of our time playing with high end hardware, and it can be disheartening for many readers. In the cold hard 'real world' not everyone can afford a Core i7 980X with SLI'd GTX480's and to be honest, for most people this is totally overkill anyway. Killer performance shouldn't cost a fortune and this is the focus of today's write up.

The AMD Athlon II X4 640 is the fastest quad-core processor in the Athlon II series with its overall clock frequency of 3.0GHz. With a street price of $122 and just a 100MHz boost over its predecessor is the Athlon II X4 640 worth it? Read on to see how it performs in the benchmarks and to see how it handles being overclocked on our AMD 890GX test system.

AMD has officially announced that the Llano APU is available for mobile platforms with the launch of the A Series APU tonight. AMD sent over a notebook based on the new 'Sabine' platform, so we put it to the test and compared it to a couple Intel 'Sandy Bridge' notebooks and also the first APU released by AMD six months ago. Read on to check out Llano for notebooks and get an idea of how it might perform for desktops down the road.

Many years ago, overclocking was not limited by Intel/AMD like nowadays. As it is usual, when they see they can make extra money from the consumers by limiting their features to those who pay more, they don't hesitate to take advantage of that. In the last years, the Intel made it a little bit "impossible" for those who want to buy a CPU with unlocked multiplier. Intel was limiting that feature to the Extreme Edition CPUs. AMD took this as an opportunity to approach consumers with a feature their competition wouldn't give and so the AMD Black Edition CPUs appeared. AMD has been kindly enough to offer Black Edition products for each segment in the market, and that means you can find a BE (Black Edition) CPU for less than $100. Intel is striking back with a pair of new processors which feature an unlocked multiplier without the $999 tag. Today, Benchmark Reviews will analyze the Intel Core i5 655K Unlocked CPU which basically is a Clarkd! ale based 2-cores/4-threads processor with Intel HD graphics and specially aimed at overclockers. Is the unlocked multiplier good enough to pay that little extra or isn't it worth it? Is it better to overclock with multiplier or should I to raise the BCLK? Those answers and more will be covered as Benchmark Reviews tests the Intel Core i5-655K Clarksdale processor, model BX80616I5655K.
