Today we have the Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition on our test bench and will see how it compares to one of the latest Intel CPUs as well as existing AMD models in a selection of synthetic and real world tests which include Blu-Ray 3D, 3DMark and media conversion.

Now a year on from the FX-8150 launch AMD are back with a revision of their performance orientated CPUs. The new FX-8350 revises the cores used and bumps up the speed for a product which again is designed to maximise price and performance for those looking to spend about $199 on a chip. We will be taking a look at the new chip in a selection of real world and synthetic tests against the FX-8150 and i5-3570K along with a look at the benefits of AMDs recently launched 12.11 beta driver which promises much improved 7000 series performance.

Companies are having some great success with the new A75 platform, achieving RAM speeds of 2400MHz+ DDR, strong overclocks and doing all that fun stuff we've become so used to doing with the AMD platform. I think the biggest surprise about the A75 platform isn't that it just performs so well when you leave the clocks alone, but the fact that it can be overclocked so well and you can have so much fun with it. Hitting memory speeds of 2000MHz+ DDR while possible on the Phenom line up was quite rare, hitting higher was even rarer.

BitFenix is a fairly new brand when it comes to the world of cases, however already it is well known for gamer/enthusiast focused quality cases such as the BitFenix Colossus which has been highly rated by buyers. Today I will be reviewing the latest mid-tower case; the BitFenix Shinobi.

Today is a huge day in terms of significance for AMD, who just moments ago launched the first major redesign of their processor architecture since 2003. AMD has not been able to keep the new architecture much of a secret as the new 'Bulldozer' core architecture is widely known amongst enthusiasts and gamers. Read on to see how the AMD FX-8150 processor performs compared to many of the popular processors on the market today.

As is common with AMD CPUs, the next in the Phenom-II X4 Black Edition series is being released; the Phenom-II X4-980BE HDZ980FBK4DGM. The X4-980BE will take over as AMDs flagship quad-core processor and guess what, it is 100MHz faster than the current quad-core king at 3.7GHz. Without surprise the Phenom-II X4-980BE will be released at the same price the X4-975BE was released in January 2011 with an MSRP of $195. And because we are just that reliable, Benchmark Reviews is here to give you the run down on the Phenom-II X4-980BE to show you how it stacks up against its younger brothers and the similarly priced (though slightly more expensive) Core i5-2500K.

We are going to give you all a grand tour of the latest sockets and their most compatible processors. It makes building a new gaming or work rig so much easier if you don't have to return a motherboard or processor for a refund and order a new one.

Today we have one of Prolimatech's latest products on our test bench. The Genesis is a tower style cooler with a twist and we will be finding out how it compares to another high end cooler as well as the reference design model in a selection of tests.
