Nearly everyone who owns a laptop carries it outside the house or office at some point, and you really can't subject it to all the slings and arrows of this world. You need some sort of protection for your portable computer, but you may not want to lug around a full-fledged laptop bag or case. Some people like to keep things really minimalized and slim, else what's the point to buying these ultra-thin (and ultra-expensive) laptops?
