Description
You don't have to spend an arm and a leg for a good racing wheel. Compared to the top-of-the-line deluxe racing wheels, you sacrifice a little precision and build quality, but the quality of the steering wheel itself is mostly left intact. Instead of metal, more plastic is typically used. The pedals of the Thrustmaster F430 and Logitech Driving Force GT we tested for this review are more than good enough for the average gamer. Both work great for driving, they're very accurate and the quality of the force feedback is good. Logitech's wheel is slightly more expensive but has the better force feedback, while the Thrustmaster F430 has superior pedals. If you don't want to spend as much, the 458 Italia from Thrustmaster is a very good racing wheel. You don't get force feedback, however, and the pedals aren't as nice, but for the money it's a good product. If you want to go even cheaper, the Speedlink Drift O.Z. is an option. However, you get what you pay for, and you will enjoy your favorite racing game a lot more if you at least get the 458 Italia from Thrustmaster.
