Apart from that the Zoro II Wireless can be used with gaming PCs as well as smartphones.

Test conditions

Regarding our headset microphone tests we subjectively describe acoustics, microphone quality as well as ergonomics. The endresult therefore relies on the tester himself. We are doing our best to ensure comparable results if different reviewers are testing different products. We think that these review can be seen as a help if you like to buy a specific product and can therefore be seen as subjective consumer advice.

Wearing confort and ergonomics

With their Zoro II Wireless Noontec created a comfortable wireless headset. Thanks to the reasonable weight, good balance and soft ear cushions this headset is comfortable to wear. Actually, the padding is made from memory foam, which has been covered using leather and thanks to the extendable headband the Zoro II Wireless should fit virtually any head shape. The headphones are made mostly from plastic with a glossy finish and a solid main structure of aluminum, only the bendable parts are made of steel. Both earcups offer remote controls, on the left earcup there is a power on LED while on the right one we find the volume control. Since the headset doesn't offer a integrated microphone, you will find an additional flat cable with a in-line microphone suitable for calls.

A quick look at the charging cable shows it measures approximately 1.2 meters, which is long enough, since you’re anyway going to charge the headset only while you’re not using it. What’s interesting in this case as well is the fact that the battery lasts for about 35 hours and that actually is great. On another note it’s interesting to mention that the wireless range is really good as well. We used the headset with a generic bluetooth dongle but you can also pair this headset with your smartphone and with up to 8 devices using NFC.

Acoustics

Headphone

Noontec decided to equip the Zoro II Wireless with two 40 millimeters drivers, which makes for a good basis in case of sound quality. We tested the Zoro II Wireless with a wide variety of music, movie and games. Despite our initial fears, the Zoro II Wireless headset was a rather pleasant surprise and the sound is, in our opinion, well balanced. During our tests we found it has great reproduction of highs, mids and there is also a punchy bass. Noontec certainly did a good job from this point of view. At high-volume, we found some distortion. If you love a deep and very strong bass we recommend you to use an equalizer for this purpose, since the setup of the drivers is rather linear.

Microphone

The microphone on this headset is average and the design is good. As you can see from the pictures there is a small button devoted to open or close the calls. The Zoro II Wireless is capable of making your voice sound clear and well understandable talking over TeamSpeak or Skype.

Conclusion

The Noontec Zoro II Wireless headset is an overall good product. We liked the build quality as well as the materials used. Apart from that this headset is also very comfy to wear. The soft cushions fit perfectly and you wont experience pressure points. Also the sound quality is good, since it's well balanced and if you want to change the sound stage you can do so by using an equalizer. The Zoro II Wireless offers good sound quality, without over-pronounced bass. The detachable microphone has been integrated into a flat cable and the your voice will be well understandable.

We have paired this headset with smartphones and Windows 10 without any issue, while on smartphones you need only turn on bluetooth or NFC, on Windows you need an extra Bluetooth dongle if it's not included with your motherboard. Apart from that you get long battery life of over 30h and the wireless range is great as well, since you can move over 10m away from your PC easily. The recharge speed is quite slow, you need 3 hours to fully recharge the Zoro II Wireless.

The starting price on Amazon including shipping costs is about 129 euro, which is perfectly fine for such a product. We rate the Zoro II Wireless 4 out of 5 stars.
