Test conditions

Regarding our headset test, especially the microphone one, we subjectively describe acoustics, microphone quality as well as ergonomics. The end result therefore relies also on the tester himself. We are doing our best to ensure comparable results even if different reviewers were testing different products. We think these reviews can be seen as a help if you like to buy a specific product and can therefore be seen as subjective consumer advice.

Wearing confort and ergonomics

The Ozone Tri-FX is a versatile and lightweight gaming headsets. It features stylish design dominated by the traditional brand colors, red and black. Unlike other more conventional earphones, the flat cable of the Tri-FX is rather stiff, while the rubber that covers the header of the earphones is well made and fairly soft. The package includes three different interchangeable ear-plugs and three interchangeable EQenhancers. The Tri-FX in-ear headphones are not only for gaming or music since the cable features a convenient remote control, which can be used in combination with smartphones.

Acoustics

Headphone

The audio quality of the Tri-FX total reflects our expectations. With gaming gears usually we find products not able to offer a faithful reproduction of all frequencies, very often in fact we are in front of more unbalanced solutions. With Tri-FX Ozone has created three small interchangeable ear-plugs able to offer a good experience with highs, mids and bass. In other words each plugs is suitable for differents enviorment. The Tri-FX are made of aluminum with a shape that remind us the cartridge case of firearms; we appreciate the use of a premium material such as aluminum, however, the headphones are still too heavy to be used several hours. As for voice conversations, we must admit that the Tri-FX make the sound really clear and pleasant.

Microphone

The built-in microphone works well and there is effective noise cancelling. The multifunction play/call button is practical and appreciate this particular solution chosen by Ozone.

Conclusion

Overall, the Ozone Tri-FX are a decent earphones and offer decent sound quality. Apart from that they are comfortable as well as functional. Despite being a product designed for outdoor use, the Tri-FX is also suitable for office or indoor use in general. Checking prices on Geizhals we find this headset listed for 29 Euro. The price is in line with the competition. If you are looking for a pair of earphones for mixed use and general purpose, you can definitely consider the Tri-FX.
