With the LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 mATX DFI presents a very small mainboard based on Intels X58 chipset. The board which follows the micro ATX standard comes with two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 lanes, six DDR3 memory slots and a lot of external connectors.
Furthermore the DFI LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 comes with a six plus two phase power design: six phases for CPU and two phases for VTT and memory. What you'll also find is a BIOS which is optmized for overclockers needs. These and other attributes should make the DFI LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 of interest even for ambitioned overclockers or modders.
On the following pages you will see what the new DFI LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 is capable of.

The delivery of the LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 is sufficient. The multilingual manual is very useful but the best bit is the DFI ABS tool. ABS stands for "Auto Boot System". If you press F1 during the start-up you'll see a menu where you can load or save different BIOS profiles. Furthermore if you visit DFIs website you'll be able to download or share BIOS profiles.

Layout and I/O
The LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 comes on a six layer PCB covered in black. The only thing we have to criticize with the layout is the space between the graphic card and the memory slots. There could possibly be soem more space to exchange memory modules when a graphic card is mounted or DFI could probably overwork the memory mounting mechanism.
To get a stable system the CPU has access to a six phase power design. The grahic cards can be mounted in two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots which support SLI as well as CorssFireX.
Regarding capacitors DFI uses all-solid models which guarantee a longer life span at the same temperature level then common capacitors.
Altogether there are six memory slots (5) on the DFI mainboard which officially supports DDR3-1066/1333 with up to 12 GByte/s transferrate. If you want to overclock the memory subsystem DFI claims DDR3-1600 is also possible.
North- and southbridge are being cooled via a passive heatpipe (4). SATA connectors which are angled by 90 degree allow a neat wiring in your case (1). Also very practical are the onboard On/Off and Reset buttons (2). If you press both simultaneously the CMOS is being cleared. What you'll also find is a two digit debug display (2), which help monitoring the start-up phase in case of a two high overclocking.
If you are looking for external connectors on the JR X58-T3H6 mainboard you can find one gigabit ethernet port, six USB 2.0 connectors, PS/2 keyboard and mouse connector, optical S/PDIF connectors and 8-channel audio I/O.

With our overclocking attempts we are looking for the highest possible bus clock. As a stability test we use 3DMarkVantage, WPrime 1.60 & SuperPI 1.5 which has to run a 32M calculation. Therefore the results can be considered as stable.
With the corresponding BIOS settings we were able to clock the CPU all the way up to 4010 MHz and the board to a BCKL of 201 MHz. Therefore the CPU needed 1.50 volts and a multiplyer of 21.

Conclusion
The DFI LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 shows good performance values on a very small area. All our tests were performed absolutely stable and we also had no problems with memory compatiblity. Therefore we testes Corsiar, Musking and Qimonda. Regarding the layout we have to remark that there is very little space between the memory modules and the first graphic card but mainly this is down to the very small form factor.
The BIOS which comes with an awful lot of settings aims at experienced users. Fortunately for the less experienced ones DFI delivers its ABS tool which work perfectly. Pressing F1 during the start-up you are able to access a special menu where you can choos between different pre defined BIOS configurations. Furhtermore the package is completed with high quality onbaord components.
Summarizing we can say that with the DFI LANPARTY JR X58-T3H6 DFI has an optimal mainboard in its portfolio to build up a LAN-PC and also ambitious overclockers will enjoy this product because of its extensive BIOS.
Resulting of the above mentioned reasons we give our OCaholic Top Hardware Award to this product.
