Conclusion

With the Stellar Boost XT, Patriot has created a USB 3.0/OTG flash drive which is really compact and comfortable to carry. The product is characterized by a body made of rubber with a total weight of just 8 grams . Despite the capacity of 32GB , the size is still rather small compared to our Corsair Voyager. The Stellar Boost XT is available in 16, 32 and 64GB capacities and backed by 2 years of warranty .

The Stellar Boost XT 32GB is a USB3/OTG flash drive with good performance and very interesting capacity. The performances obtained during our tests are overall in line with the specifications declared by the manufacturer. Using CrystalDiskMark we detected 111 MB/s in sequential read and 10.65 MB/s in sequential write. This value is lower than the 20MB/s declared by Patriot, but using the flash drive on a smartphone with 4.3 Android OS, we got rather interesting results. While using it with Sony's Xperia Z1 Compact smartphone we have achieved 39 MB/s in read and 15MB/s in write with A1 SD Tools.

With an MSRP price of US $27.99 and due to its rather small size, we believe that the USB3/OTG flash drive by Patriot is a great product with a price in line with similar devices that other companies offer.

We give the Patriot Stellar Boost XT 32GB good 4.5 out of 5 stars.
