Front
Overview |
|
|
The front of the Deep Silence 4 is simple and elegant. The front door, covered with an acoustic insulation mat, contributes to the reduction of unwanted noise. This case has been
solely designed to be silent, in fact, the manufacturer included sound-absorbing material on both side panels and on top of the case. The front side offers space for a single 120 millimeters fan for the HDDs and the interior of the case. If you are going to change the front fan, you have to remove the entire front panel. Last but not
the least, there are two two-speed fan regulators capable of driving up to a maximum of six fans. |

Next to the usual slot bezels, of which you
are going to find four in this case, there is space for the pre-installed 120 millimeter fan, which has been placed right behind the CPU cooler. Like you can see in the second picture, the DS4 is
also ready for the liquid cooling systems. |

Right Side
Overview |
|
|
The right side is quite interesting. First of all let
us start with the big window behind the CPU socket area, which will
allow the installation of the backplate for any large air coolers. The space inside the case is more than enough. The space behind the motherboard tray is enough to get a good cable management,
even with thicker cables. The area designed for hard drives is easily accessible and well made, there are two differents cages,
both completely removable. The motherboard tray also includes a numerous cutouts and grommets that will help you maintain a clean and orderly configuration. |

The front features a small area for the I/O connections. In addition to the classic audio panel, the Deep Silence 4
also features two USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port. |

Conclusion
General |

The Nanoxia Deep Silence 4 is an mATX-tower case which is very well done and definitely convincing regarding the soundproofing. The quality of materials is on very good level, including the plastic parts. Despite its small size you can install large heatsinks, several hard disks and high-end graphics cards. The design is very elegant, the number of I/O connections are easily accessible on the front of the case. Last but not
the least, the bundle of the DS4 is very rich and there are interesting accessories such as an extension power cable
for the CPU, an adapter from 5.25" to 3.5" and zip-ties. |

Manufacturing quality / Ergonomics |

Overall the build quality is on a good level. Nanoxia did
not make the mistake to go for super thin side panels in order to save weight. They used solid metal sheets and paired
it up with noise isolation material which gives it good stability and reasonable stiffness. Furthermore, it has been easy to install hardware in the case. We also liked that there were several holes in the motherboard tray to route cables to the backside of the board. However, the DS4 is not flawless. The things get a
bit confusing when we talk about the front fan, since we would like to
see an easier way to change the fan, without removing the entire front panel. |

Design |

Nanoxia created a very decent and good looking design for the Deep Silence 4. They chose to move the buttons and connectors away from the front panel
and to the top of the case. The case is well ventilated, however we would
rather see a double slot fans on top of the case. The Deep Silence 4 uses tool-less elements for the 5.25" and 3.5" devices, two choices decidedly well-aimed. |

If you are looking for a quiet mini tower case that can accommodate high-end components, then Deep Silence 4 is definitely for you. The build quality is very good and the amount of features is high. At the moment on Geizhals, the price of Nanoxia Deep Silence 4 is about 70 euro excluding shipping costs. |
