Today there are almost countless manufacturers of aircoolers out there but there are still companies, which think that there are some niches, that have not yet been addressed. With their AIDOS, Raijintek has quite a bulky tower cooler in its portfolio which should convince with an excellent price/performance ratio.

The AIDOS ships well protected, that none of the parts included will be damaged during transportation. Raijintek includes not only an Intel but also an AMD mounting kit. Therefore the cooler is compatible with both worlds right out of the box. Raijintek also equips this cooler with one of their own fans, which measures 92 x 92 x 25 millimeter.
Construction and design
Construction
If we had to define the type of cooler the AIDOS is, then we would say it is a single tower cooler. This type of cooler comes with the advantage that manufacturers can realise a huge cooling area. The disadvantage over down-draft coolers is that no air is directed towards the motherboard directly, therefore none of the onboard components receive direct cooling. Raijintek manufactures their AIDOS from aluminium and copper. The heatpipes establish direct contact with the CPU. In total there are four heatpipes which all have a diameter of six millimeters. Altogether there are 41 fins soldered to the heatpipes for efficient heat transfer.
Design
We could not find any manufacturing mistakes on our sample, and it seems that it has been well made which means that manufacturing quality is on an reasonably good level. Since Raijintek really optimized this cooler towards a very low price, the fins are very thin and if you strike over them you hear a slight rattling noise. The heatpipes do have different bending radius, which results in additional vortex. Furthermore this cooler comes with a total of 41 fins, which have been connected to one another for additional stiffens.
Mounting
Raijintek ships their AIDOS with mounting kits that are compatible most of the common Intel and AMD sockets. The installation is self explanatory and quite easy. There is a backplate, which is compatible with all sockets out there.
The AIDOS is an overall rather small cooler, which is built for 92 millimeter fans. Overall there shouldn't be compatibility issues with any boards available.

Testroutine
The CPU is being evaluated using Real Temp and with Prime95 we reach nearly 100% load on the CPU. For measuring the noise level we use a Voltcraft SL-200 decibel meter, which is positioned one meter from the CPU cooler with the fan mounted.- 2.66 GHz 12 volts load

| With the AIDOS, Raijintek shows a cooler which was performing really well. If you keep in mind what this cooler actually costs, you understand, that you're about to get a lot for your money. The only thing we didn't like were the aluminium fins, which are so thin that make silent rattling noises when you strike over them.
