Conclusion

  • Savage 1080 Ti standing
  • Outer packaging lying
  • ASUS STRIX 1080 A8G Gaming graphics card

The MIFCOM Savage GTX 1080 Ti is an overall very reasonable gaming PC, which comes at an attractive price point. At the heart of the gaming system there is an ASUS STRIX graphics card and in combination with all the other components a very reasonably performing and efficient system has been created. Apart from that the noise levels it produces can be described as very silent in idle and well audible under load, which is reasonable as well. Furthermore the design that’s kept in black with red with an illuminated fan in the front. Due to the fact that the motherboard as well as the graphics card feature RGB lighting you can also choose for different color combinations.

In comparison to our reference system the MIFCOM Savage GTX 1080 Ti’s performance deviates within the margin of error – which is +/-2%. Therefore the 2D as well as 3D capabilities are on the expected levels. The Intel Core i7-7700K offers plenty of performance at a still reasonable price point and the ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards is even capable of running most recent games at 2160p (UHD) resolution. Therefore this system is more than capable enough to run every single game out there smoothly at the currently most common resolutions, which are 1080p (FullHD) and 1440p (WQHD).

If you first turn the system on you’ll be guided through the setup assistant of Windows 10 Home. Once that is done you’ll notice that there is zero bloat ware on this system, which means you won’t have any software eating up resources in the background – which is a good thing for apparent reasons. Basically the only uncommon software that can be found pre-installed is Teamviewer. The reason is that if you'd be ringing up MIFCOM support one day they could log into your PC - if you grant them access apparently - and solve possible issues themselves.

In the end we only find one thing we would like to see improved, which is that there is no dust filter at the top. Since there are not fans installed at the top this is not a pressing issue, but still, over time dust will collect on the radiator, behind the first fan of the push pull configuration. A dust filter would help to increase the time span unitl this become noticeable - especially in a smoker's household.

We also liked that MIFCOM’s Savage series lineup consists of several different models. Should you be looking for a reasonably priced gaming PC then the Savage series are a safe bet. Overall the MIFCOM Savage GTX 1080 Ti earns good 4 out of 5 stars.

The MIFCOM Savage GTX 1080 Ti gaming PC is currently available at Digitec for a price of CHF 2499.-
