Mounting

The mounting kit is compatible with all socket available these days. Included in delivery you find a backplate that is suitable for all sockets. Once in position on the backside of the motherboard you can put it in place using four thumb screws. After you've done this you either have to place the two small metal plates for Intel or AMD sockets upon the distance screws. After you tightened them you can put the cooler onto the CPU and afterwards install the big aluminum bar. Installing the fans is also quite easy. One can do this using the delivered metal brackets.

As we can see on the pictures, taken on a ASUS board with the Enermax ETS-T40-VD mounted, the first DIMM slot is still usable and you can even fit on it Kingston HyperX modules, which are well known for their huge heatspreaders. There even is plenty of space to install a second fan on the backside of the cooler.
