Conclusion

General   + -
With the HD 7770 DirectCU Top, ASUS has a heavily overclock version of the HD 7770 in its portfolio right from the beginning. The GPU clocks at 1'120 MHz which is an increase of eleven percent. Compared to this the memory has only been overclocked by a littlebit. It runs at 4'600 MHz instead of 4'500 MHz. But what's most impressive is this cards power consumption. Compared to it's predecessor which needed 108 Watts under full load, this card only needs 80 Watts maximum. Furhtermore ASUS once again did a good job with the cooler. Most of the time it's very silent and only when running Furmark for 10 minutes you'll start hearing it.   - 2D silent - Noise Level in 3D mode

Performance   + -
Concerning performance the HD7770 DirectCU Top from ASUS is almost as fast as a Radeon HD 6850. Therefore the HD7770 offers is quite an improvement over its predecessor. Recent games can be played at 1680 x 1050 at full details without waisting a thought about performance. If you should choose to play recent titles at high details levels there might not be enough performance.   - Singl GPU Performance King

Overclocking   + -
If you keep in mind that the reference clock of this card is 1'000 MHz - and not 1'120 MHz, which is what this ASUS model offers - then the 1'190 MHz we reached is quite a good result. Furthermore the 5'200 MHz on the memory aren't bad to. This equals an increase of 600 MHz.   - Overclocking GPU 1'125 MHz / Mem 6'300 MHz

Recommendation   + -
If you should be looking for a mid range graphics card then the ASUS HD7770 DirectCU Top will be a good choice for sure.   - High-End Gaming - Desktop PC

The ASUS HD7770 DirectCU Top gets good four out of five stars. You'll be able to buy this card for about CHF 210.- (est. EUR 175.-).
