Already at a first glance it becomes clear that the Scimitar Pro RGB doesn't feature a classic shape. Thanks to a rather big body there is plenty of space for 12 buttons on the left side, which can be programmed. This makes the Scimitar a rodent that is especially useful for MMO and RTS games. Corsair decided to use high-quality materials and in combination with high-manufacturing standards you get a well-made product. The surface has a soft-touch feel to it, which makes it grippy. The 12 buttons on the left side feature a rough texture, letting you intuitively know where you're thumb is positioned. On the design side of things you get a black-matte top and back, a yellow side piece, silver buttons on the left and a mainly back underside.

The Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB gaming mouse features a total of seventeen buttons which are fully programmable via software. The top of the mouse features two buttons to adjust DPI setting on the fly as well as a solid rubber wheel. All the buttons have been place precisely where they belong, and even the top ones are easy to reach and not prone to accidental clicks. Each of the side-buttons recieved a a different shape and after some time of using the Scimitar Pro RGB you will know intuitively where which button is. Furhtermore the Scimitar Pro RGB offers an RGB lighting, which has been divided into four zones. All the individual areas are fully customizable using the the software you can download from Corsair's website.

Corsair equipped the Scimitar Pro RGB with a Pixart PMW3367 sensor, which features a maximum resolution of 16000 DPI and that is way more than any gamer would ever dear using. The optical sensor has been placed in the center basically underneath middle of your plam. Corsair decided to provide the Scimitar Pro RGB with four medium-sized teflon glide pads, which are supposed to last for a very long time. The cable has been braided using black cloth. Furthermore the underside features a hex screw which allows for a certain level of customization. Once the screw has been removed, you can slide the yellow piece back and forth into the position you feel most comfortable with.
