Conclusion

With the Silent Spirit Gelid Solutions has built a remarkable top flow cooler that only weighs 370 g and delivers performance comparable to a Zerotherm BTF-90. Therefore we can be anxious to see other, bigger coolers from Gelid Solutions.

Installing the cooler is very easy. Gelid Solutions push pins are a comfortable and elegant way to mount the cooler on any Intel based board but we can't get rid of the feeling that the contact pressure is to low.

The well thought design of the aluminium fins gives you an adequate performance for standard PC systems.

Subjectively we categorise the fan as noisy and to the word "silent" we have another association. Down to the construction we recommend to let the fan operate with 12 volts otherwise the performance can sink significantly.

We can recommend Gelid Solutions Silent Spirit top flow cooler as an optical upgrade to the standard Intel boxed cooler. If you are looking for a silent PC or you want to overclock your rig you'll need a cooler with a much higher cooling capacity.
