Database tests

Again the access time is the biggest plus of the SSD. Therefore the throughput of small files is much higher than with a conventional hard drive. Even our SAS 15k rpm Seagate Cheetah can't see any land. The average is around 1300 transactions per second (tps) for the SSD. The test runs long enough to minimize the measurement error. The same test shows around 500 tps on the Seageate hard drive. Because of the significant influence of memory and CPU it isn't worth showing precise values.
