With the Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO, Deepcool adds another all-in-one watercooler with 240mm radiator to its portfolio. In this case you get an AiO with 240 millimeter aluminium radiator and two beautiful 120mm RGB PWM fans for 119 Euro. Compared to the previous version, the overall design and features list have been improved. We're more than just curious to see if Deepcool is capable of convincing us with this new cooler.

Today we have the pleasure to check out Deepcool's Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO liquid cooling system, which, according to Deepcool, should be compatible even with AMD Threadripper processors. Apart from that there are kink-resistant tubes, which allow for routing within smaller cases and tighter spaces. Overall this cooler is well made and it looks nice and clean. There are a couple of unique features, suchs as the RGB lightning of the pump which is customizable via motherboard's software and, the APAF technology that enables Captain Pro to adjust the pressure inside the loop. The build quality is also on a really high level. The bundle includes two 120 mm PWM fans with gray wings and black frame compatible with ADD RGB headers. Mounting system supports most, if not all, recent Intel and AMD socket CPUs.

As you can see from the picture, manufacturing quality of the Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO is on the level it should be. It's not exceptional but still on good level for a $109.99 Euro all-in-one cooler. The radiator measures 290 x 27 mm and is made from aluminium. The cooler itself features a copper coldplate and the thermal compound isn't pre-applied. To be a bit more precise the dimensions of the Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO are 290 x 120 mm x 27mm (W x L x H). The fans also come with a new design that works well with the rest of the Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO AiO cooler. Deepcool decided to pair the Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO with two 120x25mm fans with nine blades.

The packaging is quite interesting for an all-in-one water cooling system. Alongside the AiO unit you receive two fans, a manual, RGB lighting controller, fan controller and mounting kits. Although the Captain 240 PRO come with sync capable attachments, you'll still get RGB lighting and fan controllers. While the RGB controller looks solid and well made, the fan controller appear to be rather cheaply made. Furthermore, the connectors don't feel well secured once plugged.

Deepcool bundles the Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO with two mounting kits, one for AMD and one for Intel-based systems, as well as a backplate that is used for Intel sockets. Deepcool Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO is not compatible only with the old Intel socket LGA775. If anything should break down with the Gamer Storm Captain 240 PRO AiO water cooler you get a warranty that covers such event for a whopping five years.
