With GTX 1080 Ti Kingpin Edition

We have covered K|ngp|n breaking world records in the past and apparently the US American Vince Lucido did it again. This time he used one GTX 1080 Ti Kingpin Edition to raise the bar in Futuremark’s Fire Strike Extreme benchmark even higher. The new world record is beyond 20K points and 600 points higher than the polish overclocker Xtreme Addict.

Soon another record?

A few weeks ago, Intel has released a new series of HEDT processors. Meanwhile K|ngp|n is testing the new flagship Intel Core i9-7980XE on 3DMark Time Spy Extreme. Thanks to a rather substantial overclock on the CPU as well as on the GPU and a very nicely overclocked memory he's been able to hit more than 7K points regarding the global score. We wouldn't be surprised if rather sooner than later a new record would be incoming from the master of 3DMark benchmarks himself.

A little gem

Although it is expected that Kaby Lake-X is going to be launched very soon well-known overclocker Roman "der8auer" Hartung has found yet another little gem. During the "Performance Matters - Helium Night" at Computex Taipei, the overclocker der8auer was able to achieve a monstrously high 7'562 MHz overclock using the new Kaby Lake-X Core i7-7740K CPU and an ASUS Rampage VI Apex.

New record from der8auer

We have covered der8auer breaking records in the past and apparently the German overclocker Roman Hartung did it again. This time he has pushed a new AMD new Ryzen 5 1600X CPU to 5.9 GHz using an ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard and liquid nitrogen cooling. This overclock was achieved with a bus speed of 130 MHz and a multiplier of 45.5.

No benchmarks so far

Usually, when the US American overclocker Vince K|ngp|n Lucido posts an overclocking result it is something serious that is worth reporting. This time he used one NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti card and pushed the clock speeds beyond 3 GHz. Although he didn’t post any scores on HWBot or even in the Futuremark database for that matter, we’re pretty confident that we might see some very impressive scores appear rather sooner than later.

With the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

We have covered K|ngp|n breaking world records in the past and apparently the US American Vince Lucido did it again. This time he used the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti card to raise the bar in Futuremark’s Time Spy benchmark even higher. The new world record mark is set with one NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti pixel accelerator and it’s now beyond the 13K mark.

World record from der8auer

We have covered der8auer breaking world records in the past and apparently the German overclocker Roman Hartung did it again. This time he has pushed a new AMD new Ryzen 7 1800X CPU to 5.8 GHz using an ASUS CrossHair VI Hero motherboard and liquid nitrogen cooling. This overclock was achieved with a bus speed of 130 MHz and a multiplier of 44.5. Indirectly this confirms that AMD's Ryzen CPUs can be overclocked via the bus frequency as well.

With 4x NVIDIA Titan X Pascal

We have covered K|ngp|n breaking world records in the past and apparently the US American Vince Lucido did it again. This time he used four NVIDIA Titan X Pascal cards to raise the bar in Futuremark’s Time Spy benchmark even higher. The new world record mark is beyond the 31K mark.

A few scores from Racoon and RULE

Yesterday plenty of new scores popped up on HWBot, which showed the overclocking potential of Intel’s Kaby Lake processors. Also our own overclockers Mike "racoon" Buchroither and Franco "RULE" Valtulina have managed to overclock the new high-end mainstream CPU from Intel reaching very respectable frequencies and scores. Both overclockers have tested the new CPUs on four benchmarks using several liters of liquid nitrogen.

Core Clock

During the Galax GOC 2016 overclocking event in China, several different teams of overclockers were pushing Galaxy GTX 1060 HOF graphics cards to their absolute limit, while overclocker Vivi, for the first time broke through the 3GHz barrier.

A little gem

Although it is expected that Kaby Lake is going to be launched very soon well-known overclocker Roman “der8auer” Hartung has found yet another exceptionally well overclocking Intel Core i7-6700K CPU.

With 4x Nvidia Titan X Pascal

We’ve covered K|ngp|n breaking world records in the past and apparently the US American, living in Taiwan has done it again. This time he used four NVIDIA Titan X Pascal cards to set the bar in Fire Strike Extreme and Fire Strike even higher. The new world record mark is now above the 41K mark.

44230 MB/s in MaxxMem read

Franco "RULE" Valtulina, who is also a part of MIFCOM Ocaholic overclocking team, has managed to break another overclocking world record by hitting 44230 MB/s in MaxxMem benchmark.

Raises the score over 48K

We already wrote about the earlier K|ngp|n record breaking 3DMark Fire Strike score earlier but it appears there was a bit more overclocking headroom and life left in that system allowing him to break the record again and raise the score above the 48K mark.

Comes with a thicker PCB

We stumbled upon a rather neat post from Lam Chi-Kui which shows Intel's upcoming Core i5-7600K delidded and the original IHS replaced with a copper IHS that has both better thermal properties as well as a larger surface area.

For significantly lower CPU temperatures

While mounting a CPU cooler directly on the CPU that has been delidded is mostly reserved to experienced users and overclockers the gain is undeniable so it does not come as a surprise that there are both products for delidding as well as instructions for the process, such as the one from SiliconLottery for Direct Die Mounting of a Broadwell-E CPU.

On four Titan X Pascal cards

Vince K|ngp|n Lucido has managed to break another world record by hitting 40115 marks in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme benchmark on four overclocked Titan X Pascal graphics cards, officially breaking the 40k barrier in that specific benchmark.

With stock air cooler

A Korean overclocker managed to get its hands on AMD's new Bristol Ridge A12-9800 APU and overclock it to a rather impressive 4.8GHz on AMD Wraith stock air cooler.

For B-Die memory on ASUS ROG Maximus VIII motherboards

Xtreme Addict has released a new overclocking tweak guide which focuses on on B-Die memory and its overclocking on ASUS ROG Maximus VIII series motherboards.

Xtreme Preset on single Titan X Pascal

Dancop managed to shatter yet another world record, this time in Unigine Heaven benchmark on Xtreme Preset with single Nvidia Titan X Pascal graphics card.
