Asetek has sent out cease and desist letters to both AMD and Gigabyte demanding that AMD stop selling its Radeon R9 Fury X and Gigabyte to stop selling its GTX 980 Waterforce.

Asetek has been pursuing other liquid cooling manufacturers in courts for quite some time, chasing down all who might have infringed their patents in liquid cooling technology and while it have won a case or two, the latest ruling against Cooler Master will have a significant effect on the market.

Asetek has announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has allowed a patent on the company's thermal interposer liquid cooling system designed for cooling graphics processing units (GPUs).

Asetek hat gegen Cooler Master eine Klage eingereicht wegen Patentrechtsverletzung. Diese Klage wird wohl interessante Auswirkungen auf das Geschäft mit Flüssigkeitskühlern haben. Asetek's Klage basiert auf einem Patent, das im Juni 2010 eingereicht wurde und vom USPTO am 14. August gutgeheissen wurde.

Asetek hat bekannt gegeben, dass man einen neuen Abnehmer seiner ISAC (Inside Server Air Conditioning) Kühllösung hat. Dabei handlet es sich um keinen geringeren Kunden als das amerikanische Department of Defense.
