Fixed the 384.76 WHQL mess

After having installed the latest 384.76 WHQL numerous users had to notice the game Watch_Dogs 2 crash on startup. The reason for that were the drivers NVIDIA released earlier this month.


After more than three years

Back in 2014 Microsoft finalized the DirectX 12 API and NVIDIA stated that all of its current hardware is compatible with the new API. At that time NVIDIA GPUs were based on Maxwell, Kepler and Fermi architecture. While Maxwell and Kepler supported DirectX 12 after a few weeks, Fermi didn't receive any update until today. With the new 384.76 drivers, NVIDIA has finally added DirectX 12 support for Fermi GPUs.


Performance improvements for Rise Up and Lawbreakers

Following the launch of Rise Up and the open-beta of Lawbreakers, Nvidia releases a new driver supporting both these new titles. Meanwhile we’re at version 384.76 regarding NVIDIA’s WHQL drivers. Apart from game support some bugs have been addressed as well.


For a limited time

NVIDIA has announced that from today, June 13th, until June 27th they will be bundling both a copy of Destiny 2 and guaranteed Beta access to the game with the purchases of selected GeForce GTX GPUs and NVIDIA based gaming PCs.


Performance improvements for DiRT 4

NVIDIA has released yet another updated driver. Meanwhile the version number is 382.53 and it brings performance improvements to DiRT 4 and Nex Machina. Furthermore this driver adds new SLI profiles for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, Little Nightmares, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Transformers Online.


Optimizations and bug fixes as always

NVIDIA has released yet another updated driver. Meanwhile the version number is 382.33 and it brings performance improvements to Tekken 7 and Star Trek Bridge Crew. Furthermore this driver fixes more bugs related to Windows 10 Creator’s Update.


Ready for GT 1030

Following the launch of NVIDIA’s new entry-level GPU GT 1030 the vendor releases the 382.23 WHQL driver, officially adding support for this little new card.



Performance improvement for Prey

Following the launch of Prey, some users have reported issues in combination with their NVIDIA graphics cards. NVIDIA has already been looking into that and today they’re releasing the GeForce 382.19 hotfix driver. According to NVIDIA's changelog this Hotfix only is purely to solve issues with the game Prey. If you do play this game then it’s highly recommendable to get this update, otherwise you can ignore it.


The first chip based on Volta

Last night, during the GPU Technology Conference, CEO Jen-Hsun Huang has announced the very first GPU based on the Volta architecture, the Tesla V100. According to him the new chip is the most advanced accelerator ever built, powered by 5120 CUDA cores and over 21 billion transistors. Furthermore the chip features 16GB of HBM2 memory pumping out 900 GB/s of bandwidth.

NVIDIA has released yet another updated driver. Meanwhile the version number is 382.05 and it brings performance improvements to No Man’s Sky - with The Foundation Update 1.10, Battlezone and the Gears of War 4. Furthermore this driver makes your NVIDIA based system ready for the latest Prey.


On the GT 1030

EX Preview has taken a few pictures of NVIDIA's upcoming GP-108 GPU chip. According to the latest rumors, this chip should power the GT 1030 and requires only 30W, making it ideal for low-power multi-monitor PCs and OEM systems.

NVIDIA has announced that they’re going to launch a new game bundle in combination with their GTX 1080 Ti, GTX 1080, GTX, GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 graphics cards. If you happen to buy such a card and you also have or buy an Oculus kit you’re entitled to three VR Games.


GeForce GTX 20 series incoming

According to a report from the Chinese website MyDrivers, NVIDIA is looking to speed up on its line-up with a much earlier than expected Q3 Volta Launch. According to NVIDIA's own road-maps Volta should have launched much later by the beginning of 2018.


Using DirectX 12

Back in 2016, during a GDC event, NVIDIA presented their so called Flow technology, which allowed developers to implement real-time simulations of combustible fluids, fire and smoke. Meanwhile NVIDIA has refined the tool showing off what can be done using the latest GameWorks - of which Flow is a part - in combination with DirectX 12.


For Windows 10 Creators Update

Following the launch of Windows 10 Creators Update, some users have had issues with their NVIDIA graphics cards. For that purpose the GeForce 381.78 hotfix driver has been launched and it’s also supposed to address some other bugs that have surfaced.


Available soon

During the last GDC, NVIDIA announced the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and also the upcoming release of faster GTX 1060 and 1080 graphics cards. Right after Gigabyte, MSI has now also updated the GTX 1080 with faster memory compared to the reference design.


The NVIDIA Tesla P100

The Nvidia P100 is NVIDIA's first GPU that makes use of HBM2 memory. Since it belongs to the NVIDIA Tesla series, it’s designed for the workstation environment. Gamers will have to wait about a year until they see the first NVIDIA cards, with HBM2 memory.


Still: is it worth the money?

A few days ago NVIDIA has silently launched the new Titan Xp graphics card. This card is supposed to be their new flagship and it’s again based on the GP102 Pascal chip, which is the same that can also be found on the NVIDIA TITAN X Pascal and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.


Compatible with the new Titan Xp

Following the launch of their Titan Xp graphics card, NVIDIA releases a new driver supporting the card. For that purpose the GeForce 381.65 WHQL driver has been launched and it’s also supposed to address some bugs that have surfaced.
