Today we've had another case from Fractal Design for review. With the Define R2 XL the Swedes have a big tower in their portfolio which is not just big but also comes with noise insulation mats almost everywhere.

Last Friday, we received, a nice little package from Crucial. They've sent us their very latest Crucial M500 SSD with 480 Gigabyte capacity. Of course we had to test this drive right away, that now we can show you our next chart update.

The day before yesterday we've received a not so small package from ASRock. Inside, there was a 990FX Extreme9 high-end socket AM3+ motherboard. Apparently we couldn't wait any long to take a few pics and show what it looks like.

With the RAIDR ASUS has their first ever SSD in their portfolio. The company decided to develop this enthusiast product under their ROG brand and what you get is quite a decent little PCI Express SSD. There are two SandForce SF-2281 controllers and 240 Gigabyte of Toggle NAND from Toshiba, which should boast up to 830 MB/s sequential read and up to 810 MB/s sequential write speeds. Regarding random IOPS, ASUS claim the drive can hit up to 100'000 for both random read as well as random write. We didn't want to waist any time and took a few pictures from this little baby.

Yesterday we've received a little package from OCZ. Inside there was an OCZ Vertex 3.20 with 240 Gigabyte. After reviewing the 120 Gigabyte Version we've now put the results from the 240 Gigabyte drive into our SSD charts. If you'd like to know how this drives performs, you'll find all the results in our updated SSD charts.

With the Vertex 3.20, OCZ presents a new SSD, which is based on a SandForce SF-2281 controller as well as 20 nanometer NAND Flash, that comes from Intel/Micron. Despite the fact, that this drive carries the Vertex brand, it's not a high-performance part, OCZ is trying to conquer the mainstream SSD markte with this drive, where the use of 20 nanometer NAND should be of great help.

With the GA-6PXSV3, Gigabyte has quite an interesting workstation board in its portfolio. For example, this is the only workstation motherboard, that features Intels C604 chipset and puts it onto a PCB with ATX formfactor. Furthermore this board supports up to 128 Gigabyte of ECC DDR3 Memory. For us this is reason enough to be curious how this thing will perform in our test parcours.

Astonishingly convincing newcomer

With the Shrike H2L, Tesoro has a gaming mouse in it's protfolio, which apparently doesn't look that bad at all. We're really curious to find out how this thing performs in our tests. If you want to know what we found out, feel free to check out our review.

A sad day

We have just noticed that the website from TGT GmbH, the Point of View Tuning Team was down and therefore asked our contact at TGT what happened. He told us what's going on and unfortunately we can't publish it at this time but in short "TGT went defunct", which were his actual words. This is not an April fool!
