QuickFire mechanical keyboards, by Cooler Master, are getting more and more interesting every day, thanks to their mechanical switches with CherryMX, and a great building quality. When it comes to the Rapid-i, the backlight is a peculiar aspect.
If you ever tried a mechanical keyboard, and you are a gamer, you know there's no going back, especially if you tried CherryMX switches. This new product by Cooler Master in particular, is perfect if you are a LAN party lover, since it's really compact and portable.
It measures 359x138x39mm and it weighs 932g. It's a TKL keyboard (TenKeyLess) with CherryMX switches: it comes in 3 different version, with CherryMX Red, Blue and Brown switches. You can save your custom profiles in the built-in memory, so the keyboard will be just like you want it even if you are not using your system. But the most interesting feature about the Rapid-i is the backlight in ActivLite mode: when you press a button, the LED turns on, and then slowly turns off in some kind of fade away.
The new Cooler Master QuickFire Rapid-i will be available in June for 101.90€.
