AMD pulls Catalyst 14.4 WHQL due to chipset driver

Puts it back quickly with a note

During the weekend, AMD has pulled the Catalyst 14.4 WHQL driver suite just to repost it again just a bit later with a note regarding the reason which apparently had something to do with the AMD motherboard chipset part of the driver which was apparently unstable on some systems.

The bundled AMD chipset driver, especially the southbridge AHCI driver had some issues with certain southbridges, mainly the SB700, SB710 and the SB750. AMD was not clear how big the problem is or were there any problems with the newer chipsets. Some users were reporting various instabilities including BSODs.

Just in case you might want to download the new repacked Catalyst 14.4 WHQL driver which does not include the affected driver.
