While Powercolor have earlier teased that it is working on a new Devil13 graphics card which should be ready in May, we definitely did not expect the R9 295X2 Devil13 which has been now spotted with four 8-pin PCI-Express connectors and a massive triple-slot cooler.
The Powercolor Radeon R9 295X2 Devil13 will actually be the first custom R9 295X2 on the market, as far as we know, and it has surely raised a few eyebrows with its four 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors which add up to a total of 675W of power, if you take the PCI-Express slot into account.
AMD Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card, codename Vesuvius, is based on two Hawaii XT GPUs with 2816 stream processors, 176 TMUs, 64 ROPs and 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 512-bit memory interface, per GPU of course, joined together in a Crossfire via PLX bridge chip.
While there are still no details regarding the actual clocks of the two GPU behind the new R9 295X2 Devil13, we are quite sure that Powercolor would raise them higher than 1018MHz we have seen on a hybrid liquid-cooled reference R9 295X2 graphics cards. In order to keep everything well cooled, Powercolor has decided to use a massive triple-slot, triple 100mm fan cooler as well as a backplate in order to keep everything well secured and most likely give the card further rigidity.
The Powercolor R9 295X2 Devil13 will most likely be a very limited edition with a very steep price tag, most likely touching the US $2000 mark, but that is the price you need to pay when you want the cream of the crop.
