Valve showed its Steam Machine to the world during CES 2014, and it teased the gamepad that will be featured with it, the Steam Controller. During PAX East there have been quite a few interesting rumors about the new gamepad.
This is time it is PC gamer who claim to have heard some more details about Valves upcoming Steam Controller. First of all it looks like the version of the controller that will make it to market is going to feature physicaly buttons instead of a touch panel. Other than that Valve is planning on selling the controller independetly from the Steam Boxes and launch date should eb somewhen inbetween October and November.
Via a wide distribution network Valve is hoping to address a broader audience, then by simply bundling the controller with Steam Boxes only. There might be quiet a few gamers out there, wanting to give the upcoming Steam Controller a shot themselves. Another thing that is going to be interesting is pricing, but so far we're rather sure, Valve is going to price their Steam Controller competitively.
