While every launched Radeon R9 295X2 is, and will be based on a reference design, Sapphire has decided to spice things up and differentiate itself from the competition by shipping its own retail Radeon R9 295X2 in a metal suitcase, similar to the one AMD used to ship its samples to review sites.
While it will probably make an impact on any buyer once he sees that on a retail shelf, the Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card inside the suitcase is pretty much the same as any other on the market. It packs two 28nm Hawaii GPUs and works at 1018MHz for each of the GPUs and features 8GB (4GB per GPU) of GDDR5 memory clocked at 5.0GHz.
Despite the metal suitcase, Sapphire will most likely stick to US $1,499 price for its own R9 295X2.
