AMD will roll out its newest Catalyst 14.2 Beta driver in a matter of hours and this one will be all about the new Thief game which is a part of AMD's Gaming Evolved. Unfortunately, patch for the Thief which will bring Mantle and TrueAudio support is not included but should be available early next month.
In addition to the new complex shadowing system, which is a big deal in a game like the Thief, compute shader-accelerated depth of field, silhouette-enhancing tessellation and SSAA for smooth edges, all for the Thief game, the new Catalyst 14.2 Beta driver will also fix some hangs and stuttering for Battlefield 4 with Mantle API, multi-GPU frame pacing for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, fix for Minecraft and intermittent hands and crashes in 3D applications.
As always, the new Catalyst 14.2 Beta will be available at AMD's driver support site which you can find at the link below.
