MWC 2014: Samsung Galaxy S5 will have an octa-core version

Exynos-based Galaxy S5 comes later

While it did not talk about the octa-core Galaxy S5 version at its Unpacked 5 event at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Samsung is definitely preparing it.

Although the first batch will most likely all be based on the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 SoC, it appears that Galaxy S5 with Exynos is indeed coming but might not be available in all regions. The information comes from a blog post by Samsung which has been pulled down in the meantime which shows a 2.1GHz clocked octa-core Exynos SoC based version of tha Galaxy S5.

The precise details regarding the Exynos SoC are still unknown and Samsung is pretty quiet regarding all details about it, including regions which Exynos-based Galaxy S5 will actually be available.

Of course, the availability date for the Galaxy S5 is set for April 11th so we will most likely hear more as we draw closer to that date.
