Qualcomm's 64-bit SoC is Snapdragon 410

Based on ARM Cortex-A53 cores

Apple is definitely the one to blame when it comes to 64-bit craze in the mobile market. Although there is currently little to none use for the 64-bit SoC in mobile market everyone must have it and it appears that Qualcomm's 64-bit SoC will be the Snapdragon 410 chipset, based on Cortex-A53 cores.

According to Fudzilla.com, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 will target US $150 smartphones so it will not be a high-end part and although we would have expected Krait 64-bit design, it appears that Qualcomm will start off with Cortex-A53 cores while its own custom Krait design comes at a later date.

The target for release is the second half of 2014 and it will be based on 28nm manufacturing process and include LTE. Of course, Qualcomm is simply getting ready as it is quite obvious that Google will eventually release a 64-bit version of the Android OS.
