When Valve first started talking about their plans with "Steam Machine" excitement broke lose. Meanwhile it's taking quite some time until the first, final products actually hit the market. Digital Storm now announced, they will present their Steam Machines during CES 2014.
It might seem, that iBuyPower started the race by announcing their Steam Machine. After them Digital Storm is the next PC maker, announcing they're planning to release a steam machine. Apparently also the Steam Machine from iBuyPower will ship with pre-installed Steam OS and what these things are actually going to look like in real life, that can be found out during CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
Having a closer look at pricing, quickly shows the Digital Storm machines are everything but cheap. You might remember, that the iBuyPower rigs are starting at 499 US-Dollar, but Digital Storm decided to go with a high-end approach, which translates into a steep 1'469 US-Dollar price tag. For this kind of money you'll get a liquid cooled Intel CPU, an NVIDIA graphics card and power supplies with up to 700 Watts.
