ASRock Killer Line-up with 4 boards

Literally a Killer Line-up

There is nothing new to the fact, that ASRock is pushing really hard when it comes to launching new motherboards these days. Meanwhile he company is launching four mother motherboards, which are part of their Killer series. Ther eis the Z87 Killer, B85 Killer, 990FX Killer as well as the FM2A88X+ Killer.

Overall this sounds like a Killer line-up. Apparently these boards are targeted at gamer. One really nice feature you can get with these Killer boards is a PCI Express Gen2 x2 M.2 socket for M2/NGFF SSDs. Usually, the M2 slot on todays motherboards is limited to x1 bandwidth, which translates into 500 Megabyte per second of throughput. With an x2 connection throughput goes all the way up to 1 Gigabyte per second, thus enabling support for faster SSDs. Unfortunately this new feature is only available with the new 990FX Killer motherboard.

A closer look at the FM2A88X+ Killer motherboard reveals that ASRock is stepping up the game regarding socket FM2. Useres are going to get PCI Express 3.0, a solid power design, as well as not less than eight SATA 3 Ports.

To be honest we're quite curious to read the first reviews on these motherboards. Especially the fact, that on the 990FX Killer there is an M.2 slot with x2 bandwith is a great addition and definitely a step into the right direction.
