Samsung has introduced its newest member of the SSD family, the Samsung 840 EVO mSATA SSD that will be available in capacities of up to 1TB and offer impressive write speeds of up to 540/520 MB/s.
Based on 128Gb 1x-nm NAND flash memory and paired up with Samsung's own controller with TurboWrite technology, the new 840 EVO mSATA will bring same desktop PC-class high storage volume and performance to ultra-slim notebooks and other devices with mSATA storage. Capable of achieving 98,000 IOPS and 90,000 IOPS of 4K random read and write performance as well as sequential read and write speeds of up to 540MB/s and 520MB/s, the new Samsung EVO 840 mSATA certainly brings a new level of performance to mSATA storage devices.
As noted earlier, the new 840 EVO mSATA will be available in 120, 250, 500 and 1TB capacities.

Unfortunately, Samsung did not shed any details regarding the actual release date or the price of the new Samsung 840 EVO mSATA lineup.
