EK Water Blocks have announced industry-first metallic heatsink housing upgrade kit for quite popular and famous Xylem/Laing DDC type water pumps, the EK-DDC Heatsink Housing.

The EK-DDC Heatsink Housing as EK Water Blocks decided to name it is a heatsink upgrade for any Laing DDC type water pump and actually replaces the original plastic housing. It provides much better cooling performance of the motor and electronics thus providing much better lifespan of the water pump.

In order to ensure the optimal heat transfer, EKWB decided to use a pre-cut thermal pad. Thanks to metallic construction and finned design, the EK-DDC Heatsink Housing amplifies the effect of airflow and should provide dramatically higher cooling performance when placed in front of any fan or radiator. It also allows the user to fill the cavities with lithium (non-conductive) thermal-grease which should bring even more cooling performance.

The EK-DDC Heatsink Housing is compatible with any EK-DDC type water pump (EK-DDC X-TOP type) or water pump / reservoir combo unit with (EK-DDC X-RES type), including DDC BAY X-RES.

Made from cast ZAMAK (zinc, aluminum, magnesium, copper) alloy and features either nickel plated- or glossy black finish, the EK-DDC Heatsink Housing will also feature vibration dampening rubber mounting system which separates the water pump from the rest of the chassis.
