Powercolor has unveiled its latest member of the Radeon R9 series, the Powercolor Radeon R9 270 OC. Based on AMD's Curacao GPU, the R9 270 packs 1280 stream processors, support for DirectX 11.2 and AMD Crossfire, has a custom design and a decent factory overclock.
As noted, the R9 270 is based on a 28nm Curacao GPU that packs 1280 stream processors, 80 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The R9 270 OC from Powercolor also features a slightly factory overclock which set the GPU to 930MHz and 955MHz with boost. It also packs 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface and clocked at 1400MHz (5.6GHz effective).
Like most, if not all partner, Powercolor's R9 270 OC is also based on a custom design that includes a dual-slot cooler with large center placed fan which should keep the GPU well cooled.
Unfortunately, Powercolor did not announce the price or the actual availability date but you can expect it to be available quite soon with a price tag of around €160.
