Futuremark releases 3DMark for Windows RT

Makes it a free App

Futuremark has announced its 3DMark for Windows RT, a benchmark that will bring the bench to Microsoft's own Surface RT and Surface 2.
Featuring same three test seen before, Ice Storm, Ice Storm Extreme and the Ice Storm Unlimited, the new 3DMark for Windows RT will put some DirectX 11 feature level 9 pressure on Windows RT running devices at various resolutions, including 1080p with some more details and post-processing in the Ice Storm Extreme test. The Ice Storm Unlimited test will put some stress on all components including CPU and GPU.

Since it features pretty much the same test as other benchmarks from Futuremark's 3DMark family it is now possible to compare devices across all platforms.

The best side of the story is that then new 3DMark for Windows RT is available for free in Microsoft's Windows Store.
