According to a Twitter post from Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, the upcoming DualShock 4 controller will be compatible with Windows 8, despite its lack of support on Xbox.
Although you should be able to plug-and-play the DualShock 4 in Windows 8 its usability will be quite limited. According to same post, it appears that only buttons and controls will work while rest of the features will be limited to Playstation 4. Of course, these will be easy fixed with third-party software that will bring all the bells and whistles from PS4 to PC.
While most PC users swear their allegiance to the mouse and keyboard combination, the fact that some games are actually more playable on gamepads remains and we are sure that there is a market for those that like to game on PC with their favorite Xbox or Playstation controller.
