Asus unveils the FonePad Note 6

Stylus and Intel insides

Asus has been quite busy during IFA 2013, announcing a bunch of new products including the new FonePad Note 6. While previously detailed FonePad 7 is more aimed at entry-level tablet market, the Asus FonePad Note 6 is a different kind of beast with its 1920x1080 6-inch screen.

Design wise, the FonePad Note 6 is quite well built and feature some quite narrow bezels so despite the fact that it is a phablet, it does look a lot like a smartphone. It is a mere 10.3mm thick, weighs 210g and comes with a built-in stylus. The heart of the new Asus FonePad Note 6 is a new Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core chip with hyper-threading paired up with 2GB of RAM. It also has a pretty decent 6-inch 1920x1080 display with 450nits of brightness and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

It also features main rear 8-megapixel camera as well as the 1.2-megapixel front one for video calling. Asus will release 16 and 32GB versions while the battery is a pretty decent 3200mAh one.

Unfortunately, Asus was pretty silent on the actual price of the device.
