Inno3D has announced launch of the new iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra Cooler Kit that is actually the same triple-fan cooler that we have seen on the Inno3D iChill GeForce GTX 780 HerculeZ X3 Ultra graphics card and promises much lower temperatures when compared to the GTX 780 reference cooler.
Each of the three 9cm fans on the new iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra Cooler kit feature 11 blades and are removable for easier cleaning as well as come with Inno3D's HerculeZ Bearing dust proof design. The heatsink behind the fans feature a large copper base and five "high heat flux" heatpipes. In order to keep the PCB well protected and give some support for the massive heatsink, the new kit also includes the HerculeZ backplate.
According to Inno3D, the iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra Cooler kit should keep the GTX 780 graphics card at around 61°C under full load which is definitely much better than 83°C seen on the GTX 780 reference graphics card.
Unfortunately, Inno3D did not shed any light on the availability or the price of the new iChill Herculez X3 Ultra Cooler kit.
