GTA V might be coming to PC this fall

Nvidia spills the beans

During its financial report earning call, Nvidia might have spilled the beans on the upcoming PC version of the Grand Theft Auto V that should, according to this information, be available this fall.

The Grand Theft Auto V appeared alongside a couple of other upcoming titles including Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin's Creed IV. There is, of course, a possibility that Nvidia's senior IR director Chris Evenden simply assumed that GTA V will be coming to PC but GPU makers usually have some exclusive insight in the games market.

"The PC market is evolving, as entry level laptops face pressure from tablets. Yet sales of specialty PCs like gaming systems and work stations continue to grow. The disparity reflects how consumers use these different classes of PCs. Many consumers look for PC as a general purpose device they can use for browsing, email, social media video. But much of this can be better served by a tablet. In contrast, gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto V and Assassin's Creed IV.", said Chris Evenden during the conference call.

As you remember, there was an eight-month gap between GTA IV for consoles and PC and if the same thing will happen with GTA V, then we will not see it before the middle of the next year. On the other hand, next-gen Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles pretty much share the same PC DNA, so Rockstar might be aiming for the Christmas season.
