There have been a few rumors regarding Nvidia's upcoming push into tablet market and now we have a first leaked picture of what appears to be the "cheaper" 7-inch Tegra Tab 7 tablet.
The Chinese tech site Mydrivers.com, leaked the fist images of the Tegra Tab 7 which do not show much but gives us a general idea of what to expect from the upcoming "cheaper" Nvidia made tablet. In case you missed it earlier, in addition to the Tegra Tab 7, Nvidia is also planing a more expensive Logan Tegra 5 based one as well.
The leaked pictures unfortunately only show the back of the tablet and earlier rumors pointed out to a 7-inch 1280x800 screen. It should be powered by Nvidia's Tegra 4 chip which does sound like an overkill considering the resolution. However, the picture shows that Tegra Tab 7 will indeed feature a stylus support as well as the rear camera. Unfortunately there are still no detailed specification for either.
The picture also shows micro HDMI port next to the standard micro USB one and also shows the design choice that took a lot of things from Nvidia's Shield hand held console, at least when it comes to looks. It features a rubberized back but type of SoC, amount of storage, battery size or even the OS version are still a mystery.
As we pointed out earlier, this might be a good move for Nvidia as they will certainly learn a lot about the retail/e-tail from the launch of Shield hand-held console, but we are not sure how well will Nvidia be able to cope with competition as the tablet market is quite crowded.
