EVGA announces the new 500B PSU

For budget and mainstream systems

EVGA has unveiled a new addition to its power supply lineup, the EVGA 500B. Aimed at mainstream part of the market, the EVGA 500B delivers 500W of continuous power and features a single +12V rail design that makes it compliant with the new Intel 4th generation Core Haswell CPUs.

As noted, the EVGA 500B PSU provides 500W of power and feature a single +12V rail design that can deliver up to 40 Amps. It feature an 80 Plus Bronze certification with up to 85 percent efficiency under typical loads and features all the usual protections including over power, under power, over voltage and short circuit protection. The PSU is cooled by what appears to be a 120mm fan with quiet and intelligent Auto Fan feature.

According to EVGA, the 500B uses highest quality Japanese brand capacitors and features standard 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS12V, two 6+2-pin PCI-Express, six SATA, three Molex and one FDD connectors.

The EVGA 500B will be backed by three years of warranty and currently listed at EVGA's webshop with a US $49.99 and €44.90 price tags.
