Microsoft to integrate Skype with Windows 8.1

As expected

According to a post over at The Verge, Microsoft will integrate Skype functionality directly within the Windows 8.1 OS and should provide much better Skype experience.

As you may already know, Microsoft has bought Skype two years ago and has recently abandoned its old Windows Messenger in favor of Skype. Recently launched Windows 8.1 Preview does not include the traditional built-in messaging app and according to source familiar with Microsoft plans, the final version will feature full Skype integration.

The integration of the Skype with Windows 8.1 OS will result in much better Skype experience and will offer answer voice and video calls directly from the lock screen.
