Videocardz site has release the full specifications list for the upcoming GTX 760 graphics card as well as the picture that shows the reference design. The reference clocks are quite lower than what was rumored but it does not come as a surprise considering that we will see custom designs from day one.
According to a report from Videocardz.com, the Nvidia GTX 760 will use the same reference design seen on Nvidia's GTX 600 series cards and will effectively replace the GTX 660 Ti. It uses a cut down version of the GK104 chips, the GK104-225 that feature 1152 CUDA cores, 96 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The base GPU clock is set at 980MHz with 1033MHz Boost clock and reference design will be equipped with 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface and clocked at 1502MHz (6008MHz effective). The TDP is set at 170W and it will need two 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors.
These clocks are quite lower than what was earlier rumored but considering the fact that most partners will not go for reference design but rather use their own custom one, so clocks will depend on the actual design. Videocardz report also confirmed the 25th of June launch date that we wrote about yesterday.
Another bit of news from the same report claims that the GTX 760 will complete Nvidia's portfolio and that the company does not plan any new graphics cards in the next few months as it is waiting for AMD's move. On the other hand, AMD's plan to bring Radeon HD 8000 series before the end of year might change Nvidia's mind.
