It was quite strange that Club 3D was not on the list of AIB partners during the Geforce GTX 770 and the GTX 780 launch and judging by the official statement from Judith Ma Tseng, Club3D CEO, it appears that Club 3D has now become an AMD-only partner.
AMD, of course, was quite happy about that move and used an opportunity to describe it as "a powerful acknowledgment" of AMD's leadership in the GPU market. Judith Ma Tseng noted that commitment to AMD comes because they believe that AMD is ideally positioned to deliver a complete solution to customers and that the company can offer a better solution when focused on AMD alone.
Ther rumors regarding Nvidia's AIB partners, or the lack of it, has been around for quite some time and although it does not sound like a ideal strategy it looks like that Nvidia might actually be focusing more on some "profitable" partners and trying to cut down the number of partners to a minimum.
Nvidia already decided to go into retail with their Shield hand-held console and we just might see more products delivered from Nvidia directly if all goes well with it. In any case, Club 3D will now focus on AMD GPUs and we are quite sure it will be an interesting push.
