EA turns its back on Wii U

No new games being developed

In an interview for Kotaku, EA's spokesman confirmed that the company is practically given up on Nintendo's Wii U console as it is currently developing any games for it.

The statement comes as a surprise considering that EA and Nintendo earlier announced a partnership to bring some big name titles to consoles but, EA's Jeff Brown noted that there are no games in development for the Wii U, at least not currently. He also did not exclude further development for the console but currently it does not look good for Nintendo's Wii U.

Electronic Arts is definitely one of the biggest developers/publishers and such decision is certainly a big blow for Nintendo.
