As you already know, Nvidia partners were not allowed to make custom GTX Titan graphics cards and only exception was GTX Titan graphics cards equipped with liquid cooling, and that is exactly what Colorful did as it has now announced the new Colorful Geforce GTX Titan iGame.
Using a full-cover block with either acrylic top and what appears to be an optional POM-acetal top, the Colorful GTX Titan iGame will end up working at 954MHz base GPU clock adn 1006MHz GPU Boost clock while memory will stay at reference 6008MHz.
Judging by the picture with see-through acrylic top, the block covers the enire card and in addition to the GPU, that features micro-channel stack, also cools the VRM and memory as well.
Nvidia reference GTX Titan cooler does a decent job in keeping the temperatures down at reasonable noise levels but, of course, nothing compares with liquid cooling.
