Gigabyte Z87X-OC pictured

OC features en masse

While checking Facebook today, we came across the first pictures of Gigabyte's upcoming Z87 based overclocking motherboard. To our surprise there wasn't just one picture, instead there is a series of pics which would be sufficient for an unboxing article.
Gigabyte sticks to the color scheme they chose when they came up with their first OC-Series motherboard. Therefore we can find a black PCB and orange expansion slots. We have to say, Gigabyte makes a really nice looking board with the Z87X-OC. Talking about orange: one thing you can't overlook on this motherboard are the four PCI Express x16 slots. Therefore overclockers will be able to bench quad SLI as well as quad CrossFireX setups using this board. Another great feature for overclockers are the different buttons one can use to adjust clock frequencies on the fly. Furthermore there are several voltage reading points which provide accurate information.

A closer look at the I/O panel reveals that there are no less than six USB 3.0 ports as well as two more USB 2.0 headers. Furthermore there are two HDMI and one DisplayPort. Obviously there is also an HD audio panel which supports eight-channel sound and a Gigabit Ethernet port hasn't gone missing too.

It's most likely that Gigabyte is going to launch this board during Computex this year.
